I’ve deleted all my tweets via their tweet ID in my backup of tweets, and no tweets appear under my profile, but my tweet count remains at 877, only two less than the number of tweets in this sentence.
Bummed to have to do more with the API 🙃
I’ve managed to setup a self-hosted installation of FreshRSS and configure NetNewsWire to sync with it in under an hour. 😎
Now I have the same feeds and feed items on my (Android) phone as my Mac and I can go eat lunch.

DELETE requests to Twitter’s API are rate-limited to 50 per 15 minutes—one every 18 seconds. I’ve set a 20 second interval and will now stare at this screen for the next 4.6 days.
