In Which The Context = Advertising.

NBC quoted from an article on All Things D:

“They are complex entertainment spectacles that do not translate well online because they require context, which our award-winning production team will provide for the large primetime audiences that gather together to watch them.”

Context = all the ads.

For all the internet related stuff NBC claims to have going around this, its fairly amazing there’s no way to watch this (paid or free) on demand right now. Granted, I could subscribe to basic cable for a month to be able to log in to nbcolympics.com as a content subscriber and watch “Live”, but that’s just ridiculous.

And, ranting now… How does YouTube bend over backwards so that no link on the NBC Olypmics Watch Live page actually plays a video?
