Meesh took a picture of this Sunflower leaf while walking. I haven’t seen it up close yet, but there are apparently a bunch of little red bugs walking around all squirmy and such. Anybody know from this wonderfully detailed camera phone picture what kind of bug they are?
I found a reference guide online covering Sunflower Insect Pest Management in North America, and the closest one by name should be the red sunflower seed weevil, but the picture makes it seem like it’s more of a yellow.
Hmmm, might be time for weevil capturing so we can figure out what it really is…
