Jon Stewart Killed Crossfire

Remember that part from October 15th, 2004 where Jon Stewart called the hosts of Crossfire “partisan hacks“?

It was a wonderful time, we all all laughed, and Stewart came back on his own show and ripped them again, saying:

They said that I wasn’t being funny and I said to them, I know that, but tomorrow I will go back to being funny and your show will still blow.

It really was great television.

Fast forward about 3 months later and check the news…. Crossfire Got Canceled. Now, it may be that the comments Stewart made about the show “hurting America” didn’t really have anything to do with the final decision, but it’s a lot more fun to think about it that way.

Congratulations Jon for taking down Crossfire. We’ll stay tuned on Monday to see if he has anything to say about it all.

p.s.: go after O’Reilly next please.
